CTG recruits, deploys and manages the right people with the right skills to implement humanitarian and development projects, from cleaners to obstetricians, and mechanics to infection specialists, we’re skilled in emergency response to crises such as the Ebola outbreak in West Africa. Key to successful project delivery is the ability to mobilise at speed; CTG can source and deploy anyone, anywhere, in less than 2 weeks and have done so in 48 hours on a number of occasions.
Through our efficient and agile HR, logistical and operational services, CTG saves multilateral organisations time and money. We handle all our clients’ HR related issues, so they are free to focus on their core services.
Overview of position
- CTG is looking for candidates whose experience match the below TOR.
Role objectives
Under the direction of the immediate supervision of the Unit Supervisor, the selecte candidate for the post will be responsible for the tasks below:
- Execute all radio communication projects including calculations of the various communication profiles.
- Responsible for the installation of radio communication antennas & programming of repeaters, base stations & portables radios.
- Install HF / VHF / UHF mobile radios in vehicles.
- Prepare configuration files for programming of various radio communications.
- Perform preventive & corrective maintenance of different types of communication equipment.
- Carry out the commissioning, installation & maintenance of the analog/ digital two way radios / tetra / mototrbo / codan / jotron systems.
- Perform any other tasks as deemed necessary.
Project reporting
- This role works under the direction of the immediate supervision of the Unit Supervisor.
Key competencies
- High school diploma or equivalent is required any additional technical or vocational training in telecommunications or other related field is required.
- At least five years of working experience in providing ICT operational support services related to tetra, HF / VHF / UHF radio communication or similar operations.
- Fluency in English (both oral & written) is required & basic knowledge of French is desirable.
Team management
- This role has no team management responsibility.
