INTERNATIONAL WARS AND DISASTERS VICTIMS’ PROTECTION ASSOCIATION (IRVD) is a non -governmental organization established by a group of volunteers in Syria during the crisis in 2012 and registered in the USA, Sweden, and turkey.

IRVD is implementing projects through regional offices in Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Yemen, Sudan, Iraq, Palestine, and Somalia.

Our work sectors are Health, Nutrition, Education, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Protection, Shelter &Non-food items, Wash and Sanitation.

IRVD also manages development projects, advocates to empower civil societies and local governance

Job Description

IRVD is seeking a nephrologist responsible for diagnosing and treating kidney-related conditions. The responsibilities of nephrologists include performing diagnoses, establishing health care plans, and managing patient care.

Implementation of Program

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting consultations to diagnose illnesses.
  • Evaluating kidneys to determine treatment
  • Treating and managing conditions.
  • Examination of patients and request the necessary laboratory or radiological examinations and investigations that help diagnose the disease, develop the appropriate treatment plan and monitor the development of the condition.
  • Describe treatments, medicines, and everything helpful in treating or preventing diseases.
  • Refer patients to other medical specialities when required.
  • Commitment to the protocols and treatment and administrative regulations set by the medical department at the centre.
  • Commitment to all reports and statistics required by the information officer according to the forms established in the department.

Supervision:

  • Active participation in the scientific activities carried out by the centre.
  • Manage the filing and maintenance of all patient records.

Monitoring and reporting:

  • Personally, reporting cases of infectious diseases or critical acute cases that require direct referral to hospitals.
  • Interact with the patient, take a detailed case history and determine an appropriate action plan for treatment and management of the condition.
  • Direct supervision of the required reports, data and statistics that the clinic nurse writes

Ability to:

  • Ability to work in a stressful setting and adapt quickly to changing environments
  • Ability to conduct work in a professional and mature manner
  • Ability to mentoring and training; experience in supervising staff desirable

Qualifications

  • Certificate of specialisation in nephrology.
  • At least seven years of professional experiences
  • Knowledge of health Sectors
  • Ability to validate and interpret health data.

As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of IRVD and donor compliance and ethics standards and adhere to those standards. Conducts work with the highest level of integrity. Communicate these values to staff and partners and require them to adhere to them.

Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within IRVD and amongst beneficiaries served by IRVD
