Here’s where you come in:

As Program Manager (RISE), you will be responsible for the overall leadership, coordination, quality assurance, partner management, and program integration of the emergency response, ensuring the high-quality, timely, and integrated delivery of multisector humanitarian interventions across East Darfur, Khartoum, and Blue Nile. You will oversee the effective design, implementation, monitoring, adaptation, and operational excellence of all sectors, including WASH, Health, Nutrition, Protection, and Education in Emergencies (EiE).

You will work closely with Sector Specialists, Zonal Operations Managers, Base Managers, government counterparts, local partners, clusters, stakeholders, and donors to ensure interventions are high-quality, integrated, evidence-based, conflict-sensitive, and compliant with humanitarian standards and donor requirements.

You will provide leadership in program planning, implementation, quality assurance, budget management, reporting, adaptive management, and accountability, ensuring effective project delivery and measurable results across target states.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Humanitarian Studies, Law, Social Work, Development Studies or another relevant discipline. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible humanitarian programming experience.
  • At least 3 years managing large donor-funded projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-location programmes.
  • Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-sector emergency projects involving Health, Nutrition, WASH, Protection and Education
  • Experience in protection programming within humanitarian settings.
  • Experience working with government institutions, UN agencies and national NGOs.
  • Strong knowledge of USDA programme management and protection programming.
  • Excellent understanding of humanitarian principles, Sphere Standards, Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS), Protection Mainstreaming, and AAP.
  • Strong leadership, coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent report writing and analytical skills.
  • Financial and grant management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work effectively in insecure and complex humanitarian environments.
  • Commitment to World Vision’s identity, Core Values, Child Safeguarding and Code of Conduct.

Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement

  • The job requires regular travel to project sites
  • Staff required to be physically fit
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
