Standard functions:

As a Project Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting project implementation, coordination, and monitoring. You will work closely with the Project Officer, stakeholders, and service providers to ensure timely, effective, and impactful project delivery. This role requires someone who is organized, adaptable, and able to motivate others while working independently in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Project implementation and management

  • Work with stakeholders and with guidance from project officer in identifying farmer groups and promote active participation of beneficiaries and intermediaries in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the project activities.
  • Provides Basic training support for POC’s on good farming (agroecological) practices.
  • Participates in the coordination meetings on Livelihood and others and submit reports and minutes of all representation meetings attended to the project officer.
  • Using participatory methods identifies and engages key stakeholders in promoting active community participation in responses to Livelihood interventions.
  • Trains community structures and stakeholders on Livelihood and response methodology.
  • Collect and tabulate field data on project activities carried on a regular and undertake impact assessment using participatory approaches for all beneficiaries to determine the relevance and impact of the assistance offered.
  • Attending team and programme coordination meetings organized.
  • Complete any task assigned by the supervisor.

    Minimum Qualifications, experience and skills

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
  • Additional certifications that exemplify a desire for continued education are preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and an aptitude for problem solving.
  • Excellent computer including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Collaborative working style and team-player attitude.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Be able to work in remote areas with regular travel by motorbike
  • Holder of a Valid riding permit (class ‘’A” is a must)
