BACKGROUND

Windle International Somalia (WISOM) is an International Non-Governmental organization with oversight support and coordination by the regional office in Nairobi. WISOM was founded with the belief that good education was essential if Africa was to meet the challenges it faced. Windle International Somalia implements Education, Training, and Integrated programs including WASH, Climate Adaptation, and Peace Building.
In our commitment to enhance quality education and training in line with “Education Transforms society”, we support refugees, asylum seekers, and refugee returnee students throughout Somalia.

WISOM is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Project Officer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

  • Project Planning and Implementation-Assisting in the development of project plans and execution of deliverables.
  • The Project Officer will ensure that all tasks are well-coordinated and aligned with the project’s objectives.
  • Monitoring and Reporting -Tracking the progress of the project by monitoring performance in line with project performance matrix while working closely with MEARL Unit.
  • The Project Officer prepares regular reports, streps and updates for stakeholders, highlighting key developments, risks, and any adjustments required.
  • Coordinate day to day community awareness and sensitization session
  • Analysis stakeholders’ effort and compile project success stories
  • Represent the organization in forums and technical working groups.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Project Management or Social science or a related field.
  • Previous experience in project coordination or management support roles.
  • Proficiency in Project Management tools (e.g., MS Project)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
