Overview of position:
CTG is looking to contract candidates whose experience match the below TOR.

Role objectives:
Assist in the preparation of sites for the installation of new communication links & related materials.
Assist in the preparation / installation of antennas, parabolic, mini grid & Yaggi. (UHF, 1.4GHz, 1.7GHz, 2.4GHz 3.5GHz, 7GHz & 18Ghz).
Prepare RF power lines, connector termination, grounding & lightning shield.
The candidate will be asked to climb the communications towers if he holds an officially recognized certificate.
Assist in the installation, configuration & maintenance of versus types of rural microwave equipment.
Point to point & point to multipoint.
Assist in the installation of UPS, batteries, AC / DC solutions of 12VDC, 24VDC & 48VDC rectifiers.
Participate in regular, routine, preventive & corrective maintenance work on ICT equipment in the mission.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Ensure that all necessary spare parts & supplies are available to reduce downtime of ICT equipment.
Ensures, in coordination with the property management group, that appropriate ICT inventory records are updated & kept.
Assist in the receipt & inspection of new ICT equipment.
Support site survey for new ICT site in the mission.

Project reporting:
This role reports to the line manager.

Key competencies:
High school diploma or academic or technical certificate in telecommunication is desirable.
At least 3 years working experience in the telecommunication area, especially with microwave.
Working experience in a conflict of post conflict environment.
Working experience in the installations of PMP point to multi point antennas & alignment.
Experience in installation, configuring & troubleshooting of minilinks modems, power converters, rectifiers & its function.
Fluency in English, both written & oral, is required & knowledge of French is desirable.
Strong working knowledge of function radio link calculation & path profile analysis.
Deep understanding & commissioning experience in microwave RF frequency planning spectrum.

This role has no team management responsibility.
