JOB DESCRIPTION/SCOPE OF WORK

Position Title: SMC Campaign

Classification: Short Term

Location: Zamfara and Benue State

This scope of work (SOW) sets forth the services to be provided by Contractor to SAII Associates Ltd/Gte, an associate company of Chemonics International Inc.

The objective of this billable short-term assignment is to serve as the SMC Campaign for the USAID Global Health Supply Chain (GHSC) – Procurement and Supply Management (PSM) project. The SMC Campaign will work with the Malaria Program Team to provide technical support for the implementation of SMC campaigns.

Background: The purpose of the USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program–Procurement and Supply Management single award IDIQ contract is to ensure uninterrupted supplies of health commodities to prevent suffering, save lives, and create a brighter future for families around the world. The IDIQ has two task orders that directly support the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI). The latter deals with support for malaria programs. GHSC-PSM provides health commodity procurement services and systems strengthening support that address all elements of a comprehensive supply chain.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Support all work streams in the implementation of the SMC campaign.
  • Support training at all levels for the implementation of the SMC campaign.
  • Support quantification and distribution of materials and tools.
  • Support implementation of ICT4D based campaigns.
  • Facilitate review meetings at the state level and collate SMC campaign mobilization and distribution data.
  • Support monitoring and supervision of SMC commodity Last Mile Distribution (LMD).
  • Support the state team to proactively respond to challenges during the SMC campaign.
  • Support the state to ensure monitoring and supervision of LGA cascade training, drug administration, end-of-cycle review meetings, and ensure the campaign exercise is efficient.
  • Support the LQAs and End of Round Surveys.
  • Support the state on advocacy and community mobilization for the campaigns.
  • Facilitate the development of campaign technical reports for every cycle and end of round.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or HND degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 2 – 3 years of relevant work experience in SMC campaign implementation.
  • Experience working on a USAID or donor-funded project required.
  • Strong proficiency in Android related OS, with ability to manage Android phones and other Android related devices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt and work efficiently within a team.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage people.
  • Ability to work self-sufficiently.
  • Fluency in English is required.

Supervision of Contractor

The SMC Campaign will report to the Director, Malaria Program

Working Conditions/Duration of Assignment

This is a state-based short-term position in Zamfara and Benue State, Nigeria.
