About One Acre Fund
Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund equips more than 4 million smallholder farmers to make their farms more productive. Across nine countries that together are home to two-thirds of Africa’s farmers, we provide high-quality farm supplies, tree seedlings, accessible credit, modern agronomic training, and a wide range of other agricultural services. On average, this model enables any farmer to increase her income and assets on supported land by more than 40 percent, while permanently improving her climate resilience. About the Role
Reporting to the payroll specialist, the coordinator, payroll coordinator, and reward management will implement payroll processes at Tupande. As the go-to expert in matters payroll and compensation, you will ensure precise and compliant payroll execution while seeking opportunities to enhance efficiency. You will work with different stakeholders to align Tupande’s payroll practices with organizational objectives and help improve overall payroll operations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate processing of payroll for Tupande employees, including calculating salaries, allowances, and statutory deductions
- Prepare and submit statutory deductions including PAYE, NSSF, and NHIF to the relevant government authorities
- Prepare periodic payroll summaries and reports for management review
- Provide guidance to employees on payroll-related matters including answering queries about their pay
- Prepare required documentation and reports for financial audits and regulatory compliance checks

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:
- Knowledge of payroll statutory regulations
- Experience working with payroll software
- At least two years of experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated experience working with HR Information Systems and data tools
