Founded in 1979, Action contre la Faim is an international non-governmental organization fighting hunger worldwide. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has underpinned its identity for over 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergency situations linked to conflicts and natural disasters. Mission :
Under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director, you will define strategies and coordinate Action Against Hunger interventions in the field of health and nutrition.
More precisely, you will be responsible to the following missions:
Design, capitalize and evaluate nutritional and health interventions as well as advocacy actions in your sector.
Collect and analyze nutritional data from other partners (NGOs, UN agencies, government structures) to decide on the launch of surveys.
Monitor and coordinate programs in the areas of nutrition and health.
Supervise or conduct rapid assessments and nutritional surveys.
Manage the Health Nutrition team in the capital and be the functional manager of the Health Nutrition Program Managers on the bases.
Develop and lead programs and advocacy in partnership with national and local stakeholders.
Negotiate with local partners on work organization arrangements, protocols, action plans, training at all levels (local, regional and national), taking into account all stakeholders present in the area.
Represent ACF and promote its positions in the field of health and nutrition.
Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential donors (visits to programs, presentation of ACF and its interventions, solicitations for potential funding).
Profile :
You hold a Master degree in Public Health, Medicine, or Nursing, with at least 5 years of professional experiences with NGOs, and 3 years in a similar role.
You are recognized for your technical expertise in nutrition & health programming, and have a consolidated experience in project cycle management, strategy development, monitoring and evaluation, and Assessment/diagnosis of vulnerabilities with a gender and protection approach.
You have a strong ability to provide technical support in project proposal and strong skills in management and staff capacity building.
You have demonstrated experience in program budget management.
An Excellent diplomacy, negotiation and representation skills (nutrition & health cluster mechanisms) are required.
A proven capacity to work in an emergency context is an asset.
Fluency in French and in English are mandatory.
An Experience in the country or region would be a plus.
Salary statut
7 months fixed term contract under French (for internationals) or Cameroun (for nationals) labor law.

7 months contract under French legislation
Monthly gross salary from 2597euros to 2968euros upon experience
Per diem and living allowance: 583 Euros net, field paid
Monthly country allowance: 150 Euros
16% of monthly gross salary as reimbursement of retirement insurance for non-French citizen
Child allowance, 1500euros/year/child (capped to 6000euros)
Coverage of transportation costs to and in the 100 % coverage of health contributions (social security + private insurance) and repatriation insurance
25 days of paid leaves per year
20 RnR per year. + 215 euros at each RnR period
For National Applicants
Monthly gross salary : 1147214 FCFA (social and fiscal taxes include)
Coverage of health contributions (social security + private insurance) of 80% (to be paid to your beneficiaries)
2 days of paid leaves per month after the end of the trial period
Death benefit and funeral expenses for you (to be paid to your beneficiaries).
