As the Analyst – Budgeting youwill be responsible for supporting comprehensive budgeting and financial management processes at the National Office (NO) level. It involves assisting in the preparation and consolidation of support cost, program, and grant budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and donor requirements, and contributing to budget reviews and narratives. The role also manages system-related tasks, including validating and uploading budgets into financial systems and overseeing Labor Distribution Reports (LDRs) to ensure accurate staff cost allocation. Additionally, it includes monitoring PBAS commitments, reconciling financial data across systems, and supporting reporting for management and donors. The position further supports cost allocation methodologies, ensuring consistent application and documentation, while tracking cost recovery performance and Support Cost Reallocation (SCR) ratios to enhance compliance and financial sustainability.

Requirements include:

  • A first degree in Accounting or Finance. A professional qualification such as ACCA or CIMA will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a finance role in NGO environment.
  • In-depth working knowledge of accounting software packages, especially Sun Systems, Vision XL and Vision Executive.
  • In-depth working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the WVI FPP.
  • Working knowledge of grant accounting.
  • Knowledge of how to prepare, review, and present financial statements and financial reports.
  • Able to perform complex financial analyses
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
  • Able to articulate and communicate ideas well verbally and in writing
