Finance Officer 50 views0 applications

Position Summary:

West African coastal cities are grappling with urbanization and climate change, leading to erosion, flooding, and other risks. To prevent these cities from being washed away, they need to protect the coast, strengthen inland livelihoods, and promote climate-resilient urban development. This can be achieved through climate-sensitive spatial planning strategies and innovative ecosystem-based solutions.

The project goal is to improve adaptation of small to medium coastal settlements in West Africa by reducing climate change impact and establishing resilient economies and communities. The project proposal was approved by the Adaptation Fund in August 2023.
