Finance Operations Specialist, Rural Agricultural Enterprises Development, Zambia**

ACDI/VOCA is currently seeking an experienced Finance Operations Specialist for the anticipated USAID-funded Rural Agricultural Enterprises Development Activity. The activity is anticipated to facilitate access to finance for rural Small and Medium Enterprises (SME), address financial service providers’ barriers to lending to SMEs, and address barriers that limit agricultural enterprises’ ability to seek and qualify for loans. The position will be based in Lusaka, Zambia.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing management and oversight of all project finance and accounting operations.
  • Will establish project accounting and financial reporting systems in line with USAID and ACDI/VOCA requirements, and complete regular monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and projections.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of administrative systems and records, including human resources and personnel records and will manage a general administration team that includes drivers and administrative assistants.
  • Establish effective office information management systems including files, hardware, software, and technical support.
  • Serve as primary liaison with the office landlord and manage lease agreements and office maintenance needs.
  • Assist in the organization and management of special events, staff meetings, and workshops as requested.
  • Manage cash disbursement and petty cash account
  • Manage inventory spreadsheet and prepares property purchase report
  • Ensures timesheets are completed and processed appropriately
  • Reconcile bank records and prepare monthly bank report
  • Track USAID approvals for travel, hiring, equipment procurement
  • Provide Financial and budgetary information for USAID as needed

Qualifications

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial service.

· Prior experience working in Zambia’s finance sector.

· Excellent finance and analytical abilities.

· Fluency in English is required; Fluency in Bemba, Nyanja, Tonga, or Lozi is preferred.
