Catholic Relief Services (CRS) has an internship program aimed at increasing opportunities for under-represented groups and increasing diversity in the workforce. Interns will receive a modest monthly stipend. Other details will be shared if you are selected for an interview in mid-January.
We anticipate a start date on March 1st, 2025, and an internship duration of six months.
The internship position we anticipate recruiting for is the following: ICT Intern (in Yaoundé)
ICT Intern (1position in Yaoundé)
learning objectives: applying theoretical knowledge, acquiring new skills, and enhancing existing ones. . Gaining work experience and establishing employment contacts are key, along with developing work habits and attitudes necessary for job success.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Providing technical support: Assisting users with information management tools and technology infrastructure
- Maintaining equipment: Ensuring that ICT equipment is in good working order and helping with maintenance and minor repairs
- Installing software: Helping to install commercial and in-house software and related upgrades
- Monitoring systems: Closely monitoring systems and proactively helping users
- Researching data: Researching and retrieving data from various sources
- Supporting data backups: Supporting the monitoring and maintenance of proper data backups
- Inventorying technology: Inventorying technology equipment and software
- Using remote tools: Using remote tools for maintenance and support of ICT systems
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Languages: English required, French a plus
