Position

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Contributing to the implementation of Options’ new business strategy, supporting our approach to new clients, and expansion into new markets;
  • Analysing and positioning for new opportunities, pursuing and developing prequalification documents, and developing high quality technical, innervational and commercial proposals for new business;
  • Feeding into pipeline reporting to monitor progress against targets and contributing to forecasting;
  • Establishing and nurturing collaborative relationships with clients, partners, consultants and other stakeholders across our global teams and contributing to the formation and development of meaningful partnerships.

Requirements

  • Motivated, with an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to support and drive new business growth in sub-Saharan Africa and Asia;
  • Experience in analysing and positioning for new opportunities and engaging with diverse stakeholders globally;
  • Proven experience proactively managing high-quality programme design and proposal development (both technical and commercial), with a focus on innovation;
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with ability to engage a diverse group of international stakeholders to build and nurture relationships;
  • Knowledge of the international development and/or global health landscape and fluency in a second language (especially French) is desirable.

Options Consultancy Services was established in 1992 as a wholly owned subsidiary of the international social business, Marie Stopes International. Our initial work centred around providing technical expertise, programme design monitoring and evaluation support to DFID as the Resource Centre in Population and Reproductive Health.
