Purpose:

The Project coordinator shall be responsible for overseeing the Project closure activities during the period of three months from July-September 2019.

The Project coordinator will also be responsible for ensuring the final project reports and project closure and archiving deliverables are delivered with quality and timely. Tracking and monitoring project closure, ensure the final reports are aligned to the evidence and partner data collection, and as per NO and donor requirements.

The Project coordinator is also expected to ensure that Plan Egypt’s relevant policies on gender, child protection, monitoring and evaluation and team security management are embedded into the project closure phase.

Dimensions of Role:

The post holder reports to the Program Quality and Delivery Manager. Will also provide coordination, and guidance to the collaborating partners, in the specified geographic area of the project for the purpose of final reporting and project closure deliverables.

The Project coordinator will oversee project closure events, narrative, M&E, financial reporting, project closure procedures and project documents archiving.

The Project Coordinator will overlook and coordinate with PU staff where the project is implemented the feedback and info for the final reports and project closure as outlined in the project closure procedure and checklist.

Leadership role for the project  

Collaborate and lead coordination with the relevant program and finance at Country office as well as with relevant PUs, ensuring that the project final reporting , closure activities and closure procedure and archiving are done on time and as per Plan Egypt Effectiveness and Efficiency procedures.

 Budget and PO’s management

  • Ensure the review of the financial reports from PUs and CO are done on time and with quality and coordinates with finance staff the preparation of the project financial report. Ensuring allocated the financial report is in line with donor budgets and requirements.
  • Follow up project expenditure with relevant staff at CO and PUs as per closure procedure process and checklist.
  • Ensure project financial report is prepared on time and with quality and feedback received by SNO is addressed timely and with the adequate clarity and accuracy.

Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours Required to Achieve Role’s Objectives:

  • Previous experience of working with project management, reporting and closure for PIE.
  • A degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies or related discipline.

    Prior experience of working on development projects.

    Good knowledge of field based monitoring and relationship building.
